Gaseous envelope of the Earth
The atmosphere is the Earth's envelope of air. It consists of several layers:
- Troposphere (0-12 km): Weather phenomena
- Stratosphere (12-50 km): Ozone layer
- Mesosphere (50-85 km)
- Thermosphere (85-600 km)
- Exosphere (>600 km)
